I lived in skirts during my first pregnancy but they were always the fold over kind that went under the bump. This over the bump look is entirely new to me. I found this high waisted (non-maternity) skirt and the belt in our Cambridge store recently and decided to give the look a try.
Technically, a high waist is good for someone like me - like me meaning 'short'. I'm 5 feet and rarely wear heels - especially when I'm pregnant. Bringing my waistline up is a great way to give myself a little height. It's also a great way to show off your belly - not sure if I'm quite so comfortable with that part of it.
